Amadeus Hotel Platform (AHP) is a new generation integrated solution encompassing Central Reservations, Property Operations, eCommerce, Content Management and Global distribution. It targets to serve the hotel operational needs as well as centralized reservation and distribution needs of large, medium and small size hotels/ companies with a community model set up.

The Product Manager or ‘consultant’ will work within the Product Management Team (multi location) acting and performing duties as outlined below. This position will liaise with early adopters (Internal and external customers), existing or potential, determine the functional needs for the platform with view to supporting the creation and delivery of the AHP vision and roadmap. This position will support whatever activities are required for the successful evolution of the platform by managing the product throughout its lifecycle. The PM or consultant will contribute to the team success by bringing proven industry and product expertise.

Main Accountabilities and Activities
  • Product evolution; investigate market trends/needs, maintenance of the product roadmap, follow through the development cycle, and ensure complete product delivery;
  • Marketing support; contribute to the pricing policies, support in the evolution of the AHP, and define product positioning;
  • Sales support; communicate the value of the products to customers and prospects;
  • Build internal and external key customer relationships.

This role will suit someone who has a strong hotel background looking to use that knowledge to better evolve hotel software and is looking for a career outside of hotel shift work who is detail orientated and understands hotel IT systems such as PMS or Rates Management.

Mandatory Requirements:
  • Solid Hotel Front Desk, Reservation Office, or other Hospitality / Travel background
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally at short notice if needed for both customer visits (worldwide) and visits to the Amadeus R&D centers in Boston, Portsmouth, Breda, London, Nice and Bangalore.

At least two of the following areas of experience
  • Inventory, Availability, Pricing strategy, set up/management and distribution;
  • Reservation management, shop and book
  • Channel Management (RMS/PMS/CRM/GDS/OTA/Channel Mgrs etc)
  • Revenue Management systems
  • Property Management Systems
  • CRM (Profile management)
  • Call/Contact Centre

Furthermore you have excellent documentation capabilities and communication skills (both face-to-face as digitally). You are analytical strong and have a talent for listening, influencing, negotiating and conflict management. Ideally you are well known with Agile and Waterfall development methods, but it’s not essential.
